Workers Compensation Benefits

The Workers compensation law guards those employees who are injured and disabled on the job while in the tenure of work. The workers compensation benefits for employees who are both non-military and employed by the federal government are consented by the Federal Employment Compensation Act (FECA). This states that this act considers a disabled employee to receive two thirds of his original monthly income during the disability term and that is not bad.

The worker may be given more if he had permanent physical injuries and if he has dependents like wife, husband, children and so on. The FECA also provides compensation benefits for survivors of workers who are killed and the workers compensation varies from places to places. So, it depends really on the location and cause.

Included in the benefits are those injuries that happened inside the worker’s place during the time when he is an employee of it. And if there is any repetitive trauma and illness that was primarily caused in the working place, that would be covered by the compensation benefit. That is why try to be aware of your state’s law regarding workers compensation so that you will not be tricked by your employer incase you have encountered accident or illness while working.
